Lead Infrastructure Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Lead Infrastructure Specialist to oversee and manage our organization’s infrastructure operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering and operations.
  • Strong expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Solid experience with Linux and Windows server administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Firewalls, Load Balancers).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, ELK stack).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect / SysOps Administrator
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA/CCNP)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, implementation, and support of enterprise-level infrastructure solutions.
  • Manage servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Provide Tier-3 support for critical infrastructure incidents and root cause analysis.
  • Drive automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives to enhance scalability and performance.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment pipelines.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning to ensure service uptime and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and data governance.
  • Mentor and guide junior infrastructure engineers and serve as a technical escalation point.
